Wraps are a type of baby carrier ~ they are long and narrow. I make two types of wraps -- gauze and knit. Wraps are extremely versatile with many carrying positions. Also, the wrap can be pulled over a baby’s head to protect their delicate skin from the sun, or for a child of any age to support a sleeping head (some positions are more conducive to this than others). Both types are breathable cotton, for comfort and function. Your wrap size is your normal clothing size.
The gauze wrap has a moderate stretch and a crinkled look. It’s not medical gauze; it’s much sturdier. A gauze wrap is perfect for large or older babies since there is good support.
A knit wrap stretches more than a gauze wrap and is very soft, like a nice t-shirt. Knits come in almost every color. Knit wraps are perfect for small and average babies.
I try to stock a few wraps, but I mainly do custom work on baby carriers. You will notice on the drop down menu for each size there is an 'other' option. This is for custom work. It can be as simple as a white knit wrap with a white edge, or something more involved like a white gauze wrap with a green, red, and white edge. Just email me and let me know what your perfect wrap would look like and I will try my best to find the right fabric and thread to meet your needs.
