Mei tais are also known as ABCs or Asian Baby Carriers. They are as comfortable as they are beautiful. The type I make have wide unpadded straps, which are very comfortable as they distribute baby's weight over a large surface area. You can also fold them over if you like narrow straps. They are reversible with a pocket (you choose which side to add the pocket to.) Straps will generally be khaki or black. You can choose the color or leave it up to me to make the best match for your fabric or the color or theme you would like (such as butterflies, stripes, polka dots, or toile...). No need to choose a size - My straps are long enough to fit most people for all carries. The waist straps are lightly padded.

This mei tai is khaki on one side and reverses to butterflies on the other side (pocket is on the butterfly side). Notice how Brandon's bottom is lower than his knees and pretty much at his mother's hips... this is the correct way to wear your baby.
