Q: What are Honey Chunks?
A: Small chunks of soap that you dissolve into water to make wipe solution.
Q: How do you mix the solution?
A: Just drop a chunk in some water (1-3 cups depending on how strong you like your solution) and shake it.
I just shake it a few times every time I use it to keep the solution well mixed. The soap doesn't need to be
dissolved for you to start using the solution - just add a little more water as you go. If you want to dissolve
it right away, you can use really hot water or put it in the microwave in a microwave safe container.
Do not overheat, as it will burn and not dissolve at all.
Q: How do you store Honey Chunks?
A: I just keep mine in a little airtight Gladware container in the cupboard above my changing table
with the rest of the diapering stuff.
Q: How do you store the solution?
A: I keep a bottle of wipe solution in the nursery and another in the side pocket of my diaper bag
for on the go use. Also works well to squirt off dirty hands before a snack or after playing in the dirt.
Soltion storage containers should be completely cleaned once a month.
Q: How long does it last or stay good?
A: It's basically olive oil soap with added all-natural ingredients, so I think they last a LONG
time. I have been making them for almost three years and none have ever 'gone bad', and no complaints
of this, so I can't fully answer that question. You should use all of them before this would ever
be an issue. As long as you aren't prewetting more wipes than you need in a day, you will be fine.
If pre-moistened wipes sit for more than 24-48 hours they do start to get a little funky. I just
pre-wet as needed.
Q: What exactly is in Honey Chunks?
A: Regular ~ Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate and Sodium Oleate, Sorbitol, Stearic Acid,
Lauric Acid, chickweed and plantain extracts to help fight rash, Tea Tree Oil (TTO) for anti-microbial
properties, lavender essential oil and pure organic vanilla for a nice fresh scent.
A: Sensitive ~ Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate and Sodium Oleate, Sorbitol, Stearic Acid,
Lauric Acid, chickweed and plantain extracts to help fight rash, Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) for
anti-microbial properties, jasmine and grapefruit essential oils for a pleasantly exotic scent.
A: Organic Oils ~ Ingredient List: Blend of 100% Certified Organic Palm and Coconut Oils (Saponified),
Purified Water, Vegetable Glycerin; Jasmine, Grapefruit, and Ylang Ylang essential oils; chickweed and
plantain extracts; Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE), Sorbitol.
Honey Chunks are SLS/SLES free and contain no surfactants, no propolyene glycol, and no animal ingredients.
